Joy, companionship and well-being for older adults through dance

Why I do what I do
I have always loved dancing. As a child if I wasn't eating or sleeping I was dancing. I loved going to classes, performing and moving to music anywhere I could! After a career in community engagement, I've returned to my first passion. My mission is to encourage people to keep enjoying music and dancing in later life. I offer open dance sessions for all and collaborations with organisations for one-off or regular sessions.
How I work
Sessions are run on a collaborative basis, with the group contributing to the moves and the music choice. All the dancing is designed to be accessible, everyone can enjoy moving either seated or standing, depending on their range of movement.
I run open sessions, which anyone can attend, and accept commissions from organisations. My clients include Age UK, Alzheimer's Support, ReMind UK, Alive Activities and the National Trust, along with care homes and local community groups.
